Introducing: printed Lavender bags

Why hello there!

Can you believe it’s already Spring!? I am one of those cliche people who does love a good Spring clean (sad, I know). But also, as the days get longer and brighter, I find my creativity start to come out of hibernation, too.

If you’ve read my blog post about botanical prints, you will already know that I’ve loved trying out new designs with lino printing. It’s the simplicity of printing that I really love - even a singular block print can look really effective. Now, I’ve started make a new range of products that not only are unique in their design and pattern, but also can be practical, or given away as gifts.

I’ve already made sewing bags/Hussifs using my lino printing, and now I am turning my hand to Lavender bags! Handmade lavender bags are great ideas for those difficult-to-buy-for people in your life, especially as a little something extra. I’ve always got a few lavender bags in my clothes drawers! Plus, they are really effective (if you use the right kind of lavender) at warding away moths from your clothes.

I’ve chosen my simple peacock feather prints to create my first lavender bag range. I only use French lavender which has the sweetest and strongest lavender smell. I wanted these to be really neutral, but to have the option of accentuating with a bold colour ribbon if preferred.

The lavender bags are filled with French lavender which gives them a full, fresh scent. They measure roughly 10cm x 12cm and are available here on my Etsy shop.
