Botanical Lampshades

If you’ve read the Lampshade making course review on my Crafty blog, you will know that the course was just the start of my obsession with make lampshades. Thanks to that course, I’ve not seen the carpet in my spare bedroom for a good 10 months and now not longer functions as a spare bedroom in all honesty…

I’m always looking to be inspired for my next lampshade range; one of the biggest trends right now is Botanical. This is a style that can be reflected all over the house, in whichever room you choose. With indoor/house plants becoming a feature in many homes, I am drawn to extending “nature” in the home through botanical designs and patterns. Here are some of the lampshades that I have created which fit within this genre….

For a neutral and botanical tone, the Cream Tree Patterned Lampshade is perfect. The pattern is distinctive without being distracting from your overall room aesthetic.

In the same range is the Dark Grey Tree Patterned Ceiling Lampshade - great if you like layering different greys within your living space. As with most of my lampshades, this can be made for either a Lamp stand or Ceiling fitting. There are different height options available: 15, 20 or 25cm diameter.

Alternatively, for a natural look, the Grey Leaf Patterned Lampshade is the ideal fit. The botanical style is perfectly suited to a contemporary lounge, bedroom or living space.
