Handprinted neutral lampshades

I’ve been making lampshades for over 2 years now, and with over 250 under my belt, I am always looking for ways to offer more exciting products! Having dabbled with lino print designing and cutting for a while, I thought the best idea is to combine both worlds!

My first lampshade is using my fern print. Botanical lampshades and neutral lampshades are really popular at the moment, so I wanted to be able to offer my customers something a bit different and a bit more personal. My style isn’t of a perfectionist, so I don’t measure the distance between each print - I just do it by eye. I like that there are a few distressed marks in between the prints too; I think it adds movement to the design.

I’ve printed the design onto a natural calico material, using Speedball fabric paint. Again, I like it not being perfectly printed, but with more of a distressed feel. This lampshade is available on my website here, as both a ceiling lampshade and a table lampshade.
